Kings of Queens is a 5 piece indie rock band from Ontario. With 885 monthly listeners on Spotify, flyers were needed to promote their LIVE show in Ottawa.

The concept of the poster was clear to be a grungy/alternative theme based off the music and photos that were provided from the band.
Constraints
Having different interests or music tastes can sometimes create a creative block, making it difficult to fully develop a design. To better understand the brief, attending similar shows in person and exploring inspiration online helped spark ideas and get the creative process flowing.
Outcome
After gaining a clear understanding of the atmosphere and target audience, the final poster resonated well with the band. After the poster was created, stickers and a custom highway sign were fabricated for the boys. They were pleased with the outcome and even offered a complimentary ticket to their show!
